Can Mederma® Scar Gel for KIDS be used during sun exposure ?

Mederma® Scar Gel for KIDS does not contain sunscreen. It is important to protect all skin from the sun’s rays, but it Is especially important to protect skin that is scarred or damaged from sun exposure. Using sunscreen on scars is important because the sun’s rays can discolour scar tissue. We recommend using a separate sunscreen, providing you follow the directions listed on the package for sunscreen.

Can you use Mederma® Scar Gel for KIDS on a circumcision scar?

We do not recomend the usage of Mederma® for KIDS on a circumcision scar. It is not for use around the eye area and in mucosal areas such as the genitals, the mouth, the nose or internally.

Will Mederma® Scar Gel for KIDS help fade chicken pox scars?

Please do not apply Mederma® Scar Gel for KIDS on chicken pox if the illness is not finished and if in doubt, please consult a health care professional, before using Mederma® Scar Gel for KIDS on chicken pox scars.
